Teran

Teran, together with Malvasia, represents an old indigenous Istrian variety. It is a dry wine, hearty and bold in character, characterised by a very intense aroma and a dark ruby-red colour, with purple reflections. The wine is tannic with harsh tannins, while the high level of acidity and the particular intense aroma give the wine a full and long-lasting taste in the mouth. Its scent brings to mind forest fruits, with notes of sour cherry, blackberry and raspberry. 

It pairs perfectly with Istrian prosciutto and meat recipes, especially game meat.
